A group of architecture students from New York are planning to come to Nosara in July to help build the much needed recycling center for the community. They are currently raising funds on Kickstarter, an online funding platform for creative projects, to help them with their expenses while volunteering in Nosara, as well as to help fund a professional documentary film about the project in order to share this important initiative with a larger audience. |

Their help is crucial in making the project a reality, and it’s an important story that needs to be told. You can help them help our community, by making a pledge and sharing the project with anyone that might be interested in supporting their project.
They have already reached their initial goal of $15,000, which covers the bare minimum of their expenses, and they are now hoping to reach a new goal of $24,000 which will make the volunteering initiative more affordable for the students, and make the film so much better.
Here is the best part about their new goal: they are so grateful for the warm welcome and support they have received in Nosara, that they came up with another way to share the momentum of their kickstarter campaign with the local community: if they reach or exceed their new goal of $24,000 by May 21st, they will donate one third of the money raised in excess of their initial goal to the Nosara Waste and Recycling Association as a cash donation to help with purchase of construction materials for the recycling center.
This means that if they raise $24,000, they will not only be donating their skills to the project this summer, but they will also come with a check of $3,000 for the community!
